GoldFriday and SilverSaturday

I celebrate #GoldFriday and #SilverSaturday as I make my jewellery with my hands and traditional tools. There are very few jewellers that still do. I keep the made by hand traditions alive by offering special items for sale on those two days.

Unfortunately because of Covid19, I was unable to offer anything this past May for SilverSaturday but I have every intention of having something special to offer for GoldFriday this coming November.

#GoldFriday, also called #GoldsmithsDay, is the day that Goldsmiths celebrate working with gold. The day is only be celebrated by the goldsmiths who make gold jewellery by hand, not cast or by machine. It takes place on the second Friday in November.

#SilverSaturday, also called #SilversmithsDay, is the day that Silversmiths celebrate working with silver. The day is only celebrated by silversmiths who make silver items by hand, not cast or by machine. It takes place annually on the second Saturday in May.

I display the gold items and make pre-sales available in October and the silver items in April.
